The Journal was founded in 1965 as the leading journal in the USSR (Russia) on elementary particle physics and nuclear physics. Topics covered by the journal include experimental and theoretical studies devoted to the structure, spectra, and properties of nuclei; radiation, fission, and nuclear reactions induced by photons, leptons, and hadrons; fundamental interactions and symmetries; hadrons containing light, strange, charm, and down quarks; particle collisions at high and ultrahigh energies; gauge and unified quantum field theories, quark models, supersymmetry and supergravity, astrophysics, and cosmology.
